Liberty Dimes - Dansco Coin Albums
Dansco Coin Albums have been a longtime companion for both expert numismatists and beginning coin collectors. The Liberty Dimes 1892-1916 Dansco Album comes in a 5/8" binder and holds up to 84 coins. The album has 2 Dansco pages (series: 7121-1 to 7121-2), each one holding and displaying all Liberty dimes minted from 1892-1916. Although this Dansco Album does not provide a specific slot for the 1894S Liberty Dime, it is interesting to note 24 specimens of this type were struck. Becoming the first U.S. coin to surpass the barrier of $100,000 in value, one 1894S Liberty Dime sold for $1,552,500 at an auction in 2007. Liberty dimes are made of 90% silver and 10% copper. They measure 17.9 mm in diameter and each weighs 2.50 grams. Liberty dimes were coined at the Philadelphia, Denver, New Orleans and San Francisco Mints. Dansco Coin Albums have their pages attached with metal screws, making it easy to add and replace.
